Story: Micheal (Vijay Sethupathy) and Anu (Remya) are orphans and childhood friends. They come out of the orphanage and live together. Micheal works as a delivery boy in a Pizza spot. Anu is doing a research on ghosts, as she is writing a novel involving ghosts. Anu becomes pregnant and they get married. One day Micheal goes to deliver a pizza into a haunted house... Which changes his life…What happens there? Forms the remaining plot?

Performances: Vijay Sethupathy looked apt for the role of Pizza Delivery boy. He has done fantastic job as an actor. Ramya is okay and she has put on a lot of weight. The remaining artists supported well with good performances. The story is good. The screenplay is interesting and the narration is gripping. Music enhanced the scenes, the Background score is good. Cinematography is good and the editing is fine. The production values are low.

Analysis: This film actually falls into the romantic suspense thriller genre. The movie starts off with the chemistry between the couple, their understanding and their life style and then slowly picks up momentum once the characters are well established. I don’t want to reveal much about the plot or the scenes as you miss the thrill in the theaters.

Vijay is okay looks wise, he resembles a typical pizza boy. His body language is apt; he performed very well once he gets scared after watching the ghosts. Ramya Nambeesan(acted in Andamaina Manasulo, Sarai Veerraju, Nuvvila) looks like girls next door. Her make-up is patchy. She played her part effectively. The chemistry between the lead pair worked well on the screen; they looked sweet. SS Music VJ Pooja Played a Crucial role. Sivaji dubbed his voice for Vijay and Nagendra babu has lent his voice for the Pizza Shop owner.

The film is very sound in the technical departments. The Cinematography is very good. The frames looked rich even in poor light(torch light) also. Most of the film was shot in the night effect only. Music is also a big plus. The Background score elevated all the thrilling bits.

The first half is bit slow (Initial portion) and the concept of living together may not be liked by all. The last ten minutes have all the answers to the questions that arise in the minds of the Audience. The screenplay is very tight and leaves no loose ends and the Direction is near to flawless. Thrillers can only be enjoyed more with tight scripts and this film has exactly that. The sound effects can be enjoyed more in a theater well equipped with latest 7.1 Surround sound.

Movie Meter:

Story/Screenplay: 70%

Performances: 70%

Entertainment: 40%

Narration: 70%

The movie not only appeals to the multiplexes but this thriller can do well with the masses also.

Overall Pizza is worth watching with family.

Plus: Performances, Screenplay, Cinematography, Direction.

Minus: Slow initial first half

Verdict: Pizza is a perfect thriller to be watched this weekend…..Pizza - Your moment is waiting!
